Deadpool & Wolverine continues to break new records as it nears a month in theaters worldwide. The superhero sequel, starring Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, has joined the prestigious $1 billion club, becoming the highest-grossing R-rated movie in box office history, both domestically and internationally.
With a domestic haul of $545 million and overseas earnings approaching $600 million, Deadpool & Wolverine has amassed a total global revenue of $1.14 billion. Produced on a $200 million budget, the film is now the ninth-highest-grossing Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie of all time, surpassing Captain Marvel and Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Despite fresh competition from Alien: Romulus, Deadpool & Wolverine shows no signs of slowing down. It trails MCU giants like Captain America: Civil War ($1.15 billion) and Iron Man 3 ($1.2 billion), and is on track to climb higher on the all-time MCU global list.
On the domestic front, Deadpool & Wolverine ranks sixth in the MCU, trailing blockbusters such as The Avengers ($623 million) and Avengers: Endgame ($858 million).
The film, which brings together Deadpool and Wolverine in a fan-favorite pairing, is generating excitement for future Marvel releases. As the Deadpool 3 release date approaches, fans eagerly await more adventures featuring Wolverine and Deadpool, with speculation about how this dynamic duo will shape the MCU moving forward.
